What is Windstorm Mediation?

Texas law provides policyholders with the right to request mediation for certain insurance claim disputes, including windstorm, hail, and other weather-related property damage claims. The Texas Department of Insurance administers the program and maintains a roster of certified mediators. ReSync is on that roster and brings extensive experience in insurance dispute resolution to every case.

How It Works

Request for Mediation

The policyholder submits a request for mediation to the Texas Department of Insurance.

Mediator Assignment

The TDI assigns a rostered mediator — such as ReSync — to the case.

Mediation Session

A confidential mediation session is held with the policyholder and insurer.

Settlement or Impasse

If the parties reach agreement, a binding settlement is documented. If not, the policyholder may pursue other remedies.
