PARENTING COORDINATION

Helping parents co-parent — for the sake of their children.

Parenting coordination is a child-focused process that helps separated parents implement their parenting plan, resolve day-to-day disputes, and reduce conflict — so their children can thrive.

What is Parenting Coordination?

A parenting coordinator (PC) is a neutral professional appointed by the court or agreed to by the parties to help high-conflict parents implement their parenting plan. The PC helps resolve disputes about schedules, education, healthcare, and other parenting decisions — without requiring repeated court appearances. The goal is to reduce conflict, improve communication, and protect the children from the harmful effects of ongoing parental disputes.

How It Works

1

Appointment

The parenting coordinator is appointed by the court or agreed to by both parents.

2

Review of Orders

The PC reviews the existing parenting plan and court orders.

3

Dispute Resolution

When disputes arise, the PC facilitates resolution — and may make recommendations or decisions within the scope of the appointment.

4

Ongoing Support

The PC remains available to help parents navigate disputes as they arise over time.
